[phas-undergrad] Spring Course Schedules and Advising

[Kurtis Williams]

Hello everyone,

The course schedules for the Spring 2025 semester are now visible online at this link:
https://appsprod.tamuc.edu/Schedule/Schedule.aspx?Term=202520&Dept=PHAS

If you looked at the spring schedule prior to today, there have been some changes to course times and instructors. I do apologize that Archaeoastronomy is at the same time as E&M and one of the computational sections; I tried to eliminate that conflict, but I could not make it work with the planetarium's schedule.

Registration for classes begins later this month depending on your class standing; a poster with exact dates is in the department office.

I would strongly encourage all physics majors and minors to stop by my office for a short advising session before you register for classes; this will allow us to make sure that you stay on track to graduate and that we have time to find options if serious problems arise in your schedule. I have set aside the following expanded office hours over the next few weeks. If you cannot make the times below, please email me with a handful of suggested times and we'll shoe horn you into my schedule somehow. Zoom meetings are available as well.

Mondays 1-3pm (Oct 14, 21 and 28)
Tuesday 10am-noon (Oct 15, 22, and 29)
Friday 2-4pm (Oct 18, 25, and Nov 1)

Cheers,
Dr. Williams
