REU programs are paid summer research programs that give you a chance to work with expert faculty, and they look really sweet on a grad school application or resume.

Greetings!
I want to invite your students to apply for an exciting research opportunity available this summer at UT Dallas. This is a National Science Foundation grant offered by our Materials Science and Electrical Engineering Departments and is geared specifically toward underrepresented populations. I wanted to reach out to you specifically and encourage you to prompt your students to apply for this exciting chance to do important research!  It will give students an opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art Research building and alongside some of the most prestigious research teams in the country! The students will be given a $6000 dollar stipend in addition to having their lodging and meals paid for two months of the summer. I have attached a poster that gives a little more information.  I appreciate your cooperation and look forward to serving your students!
We are looking for students who are majoring in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
