RE: 2020 summer Research Experience for Undergraduates program opportunity

Dear Colleagues:

Enclosed please find an announcement for our Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program that may be of interest to students in your department. Approximately 15 total slots are available for the 2020 summer at the University of Pennsylvania and Washington University in St. Louis.

Our center has NSF funding to support a cohort of students to conduct mentored independent research projects in the field of mechanobiology during a ten-week immersive program. In addition to their laboratory research, participants will attend field trips, participate in activities that address research and professional development topics, outreach, and present their research at the end of the program. Participants will be provided with a competitive stipend, housing for the summer, and mentorship from a CEMB PI and his/her group members.

We request that you forward the attached flyer to students in your department to alert them to this opportunity.
