Dear Arum and Jodie,
I hope you are both doing well.

I’m reaching out to share several immediate and summer hiring opportunities Intel has opened for PhD and MS candidates across Materials Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, and Physics. Intel has granted a special pathway that allows qualified candidates who consent to share their resumes to be submitted directly to the hiring managers—bypassing initial screening.

To keep this process streamlined and manageable on Intel’s side, they have asked that resumes be consolidated through a single point of contact here at Texas A&M. Clay Huber from the Semiconductor Institute has kindly offered to serve in that role and will forward all received resumes to Intel.

Would you be willing to disseminate this opportunity to the appropriate graduate advisors, faculty, and student groups within your colleges, and then aggregate interested candidates’ resumes? If possible, we would recommend requesting submissions by February 27, given that several of these roles are targeted for immediate hire.

Clay can receive all consolidated resumes at chuber at tamus.edu<mailto:chuber at tamus.edu>.

FYSA - Note majority of these positions are located at Intel’s R&D HQ in western suburbs of Portland OR.

Thank you both for your support in helping our students access these priority opportunities. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any additional information from Intel.
Best regards,
Steve Putna

Dear Steve -

I am reaching out to you to share some PhD hiring opportunities that are trickling down the pipeline. Few of these opportunities are focused on immediate hire and some towards summer.

MS/ PhD

Chemical Engineering

MS/ PhD

Electrical Engineering

MS/ PhD

Computer Science

MS/ PhD

Chemistry

For full transparency, Intel will soon release a College Attraction requisition for these opportunities. However, I have received a special allowance from our Talent Hiring team. If I have an established connection with the school and the candidate agrees to have their resume shared with me, I am permitted to submit their resume directly to the hiring manager.
This process allows the student to receive priority consideration bypassing the initial screening stages. I want to be fully transparent about this to both you and the candidates, as this approach is required to remain compliant with Intel’s privacy policies.
If this arrangement is acceptable, I am open to receiving resumes from interested candidates. That said, I would prefer that my email not be circulated broadly among students, as managing a large volume of individual emails can be challenging. I recommend that you consolidate all resumes and send them to me through a single designated staff or faculty member.
I look forward to hearing from you soon. I can forward the resumes soon as I get them.

Cheers,

Chanaka Munasinghe PhD
Intel Advanced Technology Group
