Hi everyone,
The American Astronomical Society has created a spreadsheet listing Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Physics & Astronomy programs and their current plans regarding graduate admissions this year. A few departments will not be admitting new grad students, and several are planning smaller than normal classes.
If you are applying to astronomy/astrophysics grad schools this year (or know someone who is), please check the list before submitting. The schools that have cancelled this year’s searches will still let you submit an application and happily take the non-refundable application fee, but your application will not be considered.
If you are applying to a program that says “no data,” you may want to contact the department and inquire about their plans before submitting an application.
Cheers,
Dr. Williams
