Good morning to all phine physics pholk,

The Annual Research Symposium will be held on campus on Wednesday April 16 in the afternoon. Details can be found here: https://inside.tamuc.edu/research/OSP/ResearchSymposium/tamuc-annual-research-symposium

I'd encourage all students engaged in research to consider presenting their work at the symposium! You can present your work either as a poster or an oral submission. There are also prizes for the best poster and oral presentation in the College of Science and Engineering for both undergraduates and graduates - these look great on resumes and grad applications... If you might be interested, talk to your research advisor and fill out the paperwork by Friday March 21 - no late submissions are allowed.

Faculty, please encourage any students you think are ready to present their work at the ARS. Both the number and quality of our research students will help to remind deans, provosts, VPs, and presidents of the amazing research you and your students do. Also, please keep your eyes open for the annual call for judges and volunteer if you can. It looks good on your annual faculty service report...

Again, the submission deadline is this Friday, with no extensions.

Cheers,
Dr. Williams
