[phas-grad] Physics Office Vacations

Hello everyone,

Lydia Dale will be out on vacation starting Friday Jul 5; she will be returning on July 15.  In her absence, grad student Nathan Moore will be in the front office for purposes of being welcoming and taking down any messages that need to be passed on.

I will be out of the country for a conference from Friday July 5, returning on July 15.  In my absence, Dr. Matt Wood will be Acting Department Head in case of emergencies.  I will be checking my email now and then while gone, but will be limited in what I can do (and will be willing to do.  Hmm, a glass of wine on the Mediterranean coast or filling out paperwork...)

Finally, there is a new rumor from reliable but unconfirmed sources that the Office of Academic Technology (the folks who administer D2L and help with classes) has been suddenly and greatly downsized.  I know nothing official about this.  However, please allow for extra time in dealing with online class issues for at least the short term.
