Southern Teachers helps new and experienced teachers find jobs in K-12 schools. We are coming to meet your best and brightest and talk with them about teaching in college-preparatory, private/independent schools. Learn more about how we help teachers find jobs at SouthernTeachers.com/Recruiting<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__southernteachers.com_recruiting-3Futm-5Fsource-3Demail-26utm-5Fmedium-3Dcollege-26utm-5Fcampaign-3Devent&d=DwMFAg&c=oqyuZuih6ykib6aKiBq22_bich4AVfYGoLertJN0bEc&r=ClC0dKui16NsesUATLpQgnMUgkdQBfRjO_qQut95l7c&m=XLC8Mfd3Da_FSwJ1jYyF3CVhoYXKm07xiv4i677zd0ptYItL4DsXrnexJhTnwf5d&s=L3o8fIL0F6mOZV8MmgCNpXr_ltGtFM-ZAjcv_JEq2pk&e=>.

While successful progress through a teacher-education program is prized, and essential for some jobs (e.g., for elementary, music, arts, and P.E. teachers), many positions do not require a teaching certificate. Math majors can be hired to teach math; Spanish majors can teach Spanish, etc. Candidates do, however, need a strong academic record and the personal characteristics that will enable them to manage and motivate K-12 students. To summarize: Teacher certification is prized, but not required for most jobs.

We work with over 750 schools around the South, and they list thousands of jobs with us each year. The teaching environment in these private/independent schools can be wonderful because of their small class sizes, their college-bound students, and their close-knit communities.

Please let your students know that a Southern Teachers representative will be recruiting at your university.

Thank you for your consideration and your help.

Best wishes,

Brittany Orr | Recruitment Coordinator
