Graduate Students,
I received this email and thought I would pass it on in case any of you want to participate in the survey.
Dr. Montgomery
Here is the message we would like you to forward to your students:
Hello graduate students,
We are a team of biology education researchers working to improve graduate student experiences in the sciences. We are specifically interested in the experiences of graduate students who are conducting research as part of their science graduate program and the factors found within those experiences that affect student mental health.
To our knowledge, there have been no studies quantitatively exploring the experiences of science graduate students and the specific factors found in graduate student research that affect graduate student mental health. We believe that this is an important step toward further understanding how we can create a more inclusive scientific community.
If you are a graduate student who conducts research as a part of your science graduate program, we would be interested in learning more about your experience in your science graduate program. We would like you to consider completing a 10-30-minute survey about your experience in your graduate program.
If you are interested, here is a link to the survey: https://asu.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9yIvzDuuxcJyeGO<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__asu.co1.qualtrics.com_jfe_form_SV-5F9yIvzDuuxcJyeGO&d=DwMFAg&c=oqyuZuih6ykib6aKiBq22_bich4AVfYGoLertJN0bEc&r=ClC0dKui16NsesUATLpQgnMUgkdQBfRjO_qQut95l7c&m=H8gq9C_u2PtYa-iHiL9p_NHDz1zRyFUFwbwPaspm2eg&s=omBt4oSZUR_Hmnqzi51hOFnHF3XraDyKC3j_gucTrwM&e=>
If you are one of the first 50 participants to begin the survey (assuming you complete it), you will receive a $20 Amazon gift card. Also, in exchange, you will be placed into a drawing where we will randomly choose 10 participants to receive a $100 Amazon gift card for completing the survey.
If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Katelyn Cooper (katelyn.cooper at asu.edu<mailto:katelyn.cooper at asu.edu>).
We appreciate your willingness to help us understand what can be done to make graduate education more inclusive for student mental health in research-intensive science graduate programs.
Thank you for considering!
