Just wanted to let everyone know about the Texas Section of the APS meeting this fall. It is a totally online conference. If you have research to present you can do that as a virtual talk, there won’t be a poster section.

=======================================================================
We are pleased to announce that the Department of Physics at The University of Texas, Arlington will host the 2020 Texas Section of American Physical Society meeting (TSAPS), November 12-14, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference will be held online. On behalf of the local organizing committee of TSAPS 2020 and as the organizer of the Data Science session of TSAPS, I want to inform you that the registration and abstract submission for TSAPS 2020 are now open. The registration, attendance, and abstract submission are all free of charge.

This year, in particular, we have a new parallel session on Data Science. If your research is at the intersection of Physics and Data Science, Machine Learning, or Deep Learning, we highly encourage you to submit your research for presentation in the Data Science session of TSAPS 2020. Due to the challenges brought by the pandemic, TSAPS 2020 currently does not accept poster submissions. All presentations will be in the format of virtual talks. Each contributed talk will be approximately 12 minutes in total. You can submit your Data Science abstracts (< 300 words) either by sending it directly to the session organizer ( Dr. Amir Shahmoradi: a.shahmoradi at uta.edu<mailto:a.shahmoradi at uta.edu> ) or by following the guidelines in the link below to register and submit your abstract:
