3- I am not sure if you are aware of. But Bao-An Li and I (and a faculty at College Station) had our travel authorization denied by the system to participate in a meeting in Beijing this month. The most disturbing fact is that  researchers from Berkeley, Purdue,
 Michigan State and Brookhaven, among others, had no problem with the authorization from their universities for the same conference. So far, we got zero useful information on the reasons for the decision from either the university or the Tamu system. That is
 another good explanation for their salary increase of 30 per cent.</div>
