[phas-faculty_staff_others] Forbes article on AI and cheating

[Kurtis Williams]

Good morning everyone,

Bao-An shared this article with me today that first appeared on Forbes:
https://tech.yahoo.com/ai/articles/ai-isnt-killing-education-exposing-174130072.html

You may or may not find it illuminating, and I know some of you already use some or many of the techniques mentioned in the article. The thing that miffs me more than a little is the common refrain from non-educators that it is up to the educators to do all these things. I feel that at some point society itself needs to accept responsibility to instill these responsibilities into the younger generation. But then again, I think rain is wet, so who am I to judge?
