[phas-faculty_staff_others] [phas-dept] New Departmental Administrative Associate Hire

Hello everyone,

I am pleased to announce that I have offered the position of Administrative Associate III for the Department of Physics and Astronomy to Ms. Lydia Dale, and she has accepted the offer.

Ms. Dale is a resident of Lone Oak and has significant experience in multiple administrative roles at SMU.  She is the consummate professional, highly collegial, and will be able to learn our local systems quickly.  Ms. Dale will operate a highly efficient front office and help to keep me on task.

Paperwork for the hire will begin routing later today; I have some summary paperwork I need to finish up. HR gives a projected start date of November 16 as long as I submit various forms today.

Thank you all for your patience in this time of transition, and please be sure to give Lydia a warm welcome when she arrives!
