Hi, All:
<div class="">For those of you who will be undergraduate students in Fall 2016, I’d like to strongly encourage you to apply to REU Summer Intern Programs. &nbsp;These are paid internships where you typically</div>
<div class="">* work 9-10 weeks during the summer one-on-one with a faculty member doing research</div>
<div class="">* engage with other students</div>
<div class="">* learn about the research process from project initiation to giving talks and writing papers and posters</div>
<div class="">* get paid (typical $5000/summer)</div>
<div class="">* travel is supported</div>
<div class="">* etc.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Absolutely a terrific experience, and a great line on your resume / curriculum vitae (and pays better than flipping burgers)!</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">There are programs in all STEM fields. &nbsp;The programs are competitive, so apply to several to increase your chances of getting selected for one.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Here’s the link that will take you to all the available programs nationwide:</div>
