I am hoping you can help me with something. I just posted a reminder for the DCCCD STEM Scholars about applying for the chemistry REU at TAMU-Commerce, and it made me think that I have not yet asked whether there are any TAMU-Commerce
students who might be willing to present a poster at our upcoming DCCCD STEM Institute Summit on Friday, April 10. As a part of that mini-conference, I am including a small poster session for an hour that afternoon just to introduce the STEM Scholars to that
format of presentation. Many of them have never seen a science poster presentation before or participated in a discussion with a poster presenter. Therefore, I wanted to include that experience in this year’s meeting. But to do that, I need to recruit some
undergraduate or graduate students to bring a poster they have previously presented at a meeting (or one they will present soon) to share with the STEM Scholars. Are there any TAMU-Commerce students who might be willing to come to North Lake College in Irving
on April 10 to share a poster? It would be good practice for those who are less confident in presenting as well as a good outreach opportunity to put on their resumes. (Plus it would be a good way to get more of our students to realize that they might want
to apply to a graduate program or summer research program in the future.) The session is going to be from 2-3 PM that day.

If you have any students who would be willing to come, I would certainly appreciate some volunteers! If they would like to get there by 12:15 or so, we will be a good buffet lunch for them to enjoy with us. Please just send me names of
anyone who can come as soon as possible.
