<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;">The Texas A&M University-Commerce Undergraduate Grant Program offers support for research and creative activities. This competitive program is sponsored by the President's Office, the Provost
for Academic Affairs, the Vice-President for Student Access and Success, and the Vice Provost for Research and Dean of Graduate Studies. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;">The<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><b>Undergraduate Research Grant Competition</b><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>is held to assist undergraduate students who may
require funding as they pursue research or creative activities. Proposed funds can be used for the purchase of equipment, software licenses, printing, postage, data searches, and data collection. Students may request a<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><b>maximum
of $500. </b>These funds<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><b>cannot</b><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>be used to pay student wages or for travel. Funds must be<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><b>used by June 1, 2015</b><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>and<b><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>processed
by August 1, 2015</b>.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;">To apply, students must submit a proposal that includes the methodology to be used, expected outcomes, and funding requirements. The proposal must be readable and well-organized, and give
sufficient details about what the project intends to accomplish, procedures for accomplishing the goal(s), clear statement of rationale for these procedures, realistic and itemized budget information, and clear time lines for completing the project. The proposed
project should demonstrate intellectual merit, and contribute to artistic, scholarly, or literary creativity.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;">The<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><b>Undergraduate Research Travel Grant Competition</b><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>provides funding for undergraduate students<b><i>presenting</i></b><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>their
research at a conference. Proposed funds can only be used for travel to an academic conference at which a student is presenting their work. Verification of the applicant’s role (for example, a formal acceptance letter or email; the relevant page of conference
program) must be documented. If the applicant has not received confirmation, an explanation must be provided. All awards, even if approved by the committee, will not be granted or paid until a confirmation document is received. Funds must be used<b>by May
15, 2015</b><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>and<b><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>processed by July 1, 2015.</b><o:p></o:p></span></div>
