Dear all in Physics and Astronomy,
We are nearly coming back to a normal semester this time.
Currently, our colloquium is scheduled with five guests in person at room 127 in this semester.
When we do not have a guest speaker for a week, we will have a YouTube presentation on a recent progress in Physics and Astronomy.
We do not meet this week, but we have a YouTube presentation on James Webb telescope by NASA.
(PHYS 401/501 students must complete a written report on the video on D2L.)
“First Images From the James Webb Space Telescope (Official NASA Broadcast)”

-NASA-
It’s time to unfold The Universe. Watch as the mission team reveals the long-awaited first images from the James Webb Space Telescope. Webb, an international collaboration led by NASA with our partners the European Space Agency and the Canadian Space Agency, is the biggest telescope ever launched into space. It will unlock mysteries in our solar system, look beyond to distant worlds around other stars, and probe the mysterious structures and origins of our universe and our place in it.
