Dear physics students, faculty, and staff.

During the summer, I reached out to you all about forming a team within our department to further the cause of eradicating anti-Black racism. I am including this team under the broader group Physicists for Inclusion and Equity (PIE), which will work to support all marginalized groups in physics.

We will hold our first meeting on Friday, October 2 at 4:00 pm. This was the time that worked for the most people's schedules. We will be discussing what aspects of the TEAM-UP report we could implement in our department. TEAM-UP is the AIP Task Force to Elevate African American Representation in Undergraduate Physics & Astronomy.
