The APS Texas Section is now accepting nominations for the Robert S. Hyer Award for both undergraduate and graduate students and their mentors. Nominations of women, members of underrepresented minority groups, and scientists from outside the United States are highly encouraged.

The Texas Section (TSAPS), with over 1,600 members, is one of the largest sections of APS. It includes members from Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma, with an appreciable number of members working in other states and outside the U.S.

Many scientists have contributed to the development of TSAPS. In order to honor these individuals, TSAPS has a call for nominations for the Distinguished Service Award.
