[phas-dept] 11am Tuesday! Andrew Young, MLK Friend and Ambassador to U.N.

[Matt Wood]

Dear All:

*Please* help us fill Fergusson Hall tomorrow (Tuesday) at 11am to welcome Ambassador Andrew Young to our campus as part of the Rayburn Speaker Series. Andrew young was an early leader in the civil rights movement, and was very close friend and ally of Dr. Martin Luther King. He also served as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, and Mayor of Atlanta.

It is a great honor for our university community to welcome Mr. Young to our campus, and so I ask that you please take an hour out of your day to listen to a great American speak and tell his story. I’m told he’s an engaging speaker, and I’m sure it’s an event you will remember for many years.

If you’d like to walk over with us, we’ll meet in the lobby of the building at 10:45 to head over to Fergusson Hall.
