As an alum or current member of an REU site, you might be interested in learning about a newly funded MRSEC REU program at Columbia University. Please feel free to pass this information along to your colleagues and any students who may be considering summer research opportunities.

Columbia University Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Summer 2016

The PAS3 led by Columbia University in partnership with City College of New York, Harvard University, Barnard College, and the University of the Virgin Islands, encompasses two Interdisciplinary Research Groups (IRGs) studying materials composed of atomically precise low-dimensional building blocks: two-dimensional atomic sheets and zero-dimensional molecular clusters. The joint Materials Research Center program at Columbia University and City College of NY (CCNY) supports outstanding undergraduates as Summer Research Fellows each year.

Benefits
•        $4,000 stipend, campus housing (worth $2,700) and a modest travel stipend
•        Do hands on research in state-of-the-art facilities

Eligibility
•        Undergraduates majoring in engineering disciplines, materials science, biology, chemistry, physics and related fields
