Dear all:
Tomorrow is Alumni Ambassador Day. Our Alumni Ambassador for this year is Ms. Kelly Jenkins, who earned her BS from us in 1999 and her MS in 2011. She now works at as Senior Systems Engineer at L-3 (see Bio below).
Please come meet Ms. Jenkins from 10-11 tomorrow morning in room 103 and make her feel welcome. We’ll have refreshments. It’ll be a come and go thing, so if you can’t stay for long, that’s fine.
Thank you,
Matt
Kelly Jenkins
Physics and Astronomy
Kelly Jenkins received her bachelor’s in physics and math in 1999 and her master’s in applied physics in 2011, both from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She is currently employed at L-3 Communications in Greenville as a Senior Systems Engineer with nearly 20 years of experience. She has worked on numerous domestic and international aircraft during her tenure to design, develop, integrate, and test new operator stations, mission management systems, and technology refreshes. Ms. Jenkins has been presented with multiple Team Top Star Awards and individual achievement awards for outstanding program performance.
The greatest achievement thus far in Ms. Jenkins’ career was to upgrade, install, test, and deliver a new IP-based communications system on the VC-25 aircraft, otherwise known as Air Force 1. She feels a great sense of pride and commitment to our country by providing excellent products to support our troops that are stationed both state side and overseas. When Ms. Jenkins is not integrating aircraft, she enjoys spending time with her two young sons by coaching their sports activities, building LEGO sets, and teaching them how to become young men. Ms. Jenkins enjoys the great outdoors with her fiancé, as well as exercising and living a healthy lifestyle.
