Subject: Hardin-Simmons University - Holland School of Science & Mathematics Research Society's Student Research Symposium
Good day,
The Hardin-Simmons University Holland School of Science & Mathematics Research Society would like to invite your high school students to attend our first Student Research Symposium on April 18, 2015. Our symposium is a venue for students to present their research in the form of a poster. The symposium is multidisciplinary and includes research in all areas of: Arts and Humanities; Social Science; and STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics]. The event, sponsored by the university HSSM Research Society, is a free event for any high school, undergraduate, or graduate student who wishes to submit an abstract for approval and consideration in the symposium. The event is open to the public and a great way to showcase student research around the area. All selected participants will have their abstracts published in the symposium program and will receive a certificate of participation.
Please find attached the symposium flyer for our event which contains detailed information about our symposium. In addition, for more information about the event, such as eligibility requirements, registration, and abstract submission please go to http://www.hsutx.edu/student-research-symposium/. Currently, registration for our symposium is open, and closes by April 15, 2015. The abstract submission deadline is March 31, 2015.
We would like to encourage you to pass along the news of our symposium to your colleagues and students interested in presenting research and attending our event. For any questions or concerns, please contact Dr. Wendi Wolfram, the HSSM Research Society Sponsor and Symposium Event Coordinator, at (325) 671-2134 or at wwolfram at hsutx.edu<mailto:wwolfram at hsutx.edu>.
We look forward to your response, and hope to see you on the Hardin-Simmons University campus for our Student Research Symposium!
Sincerely,
The HSSM Research Society Officers
