Subject: Announcement for APS Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics 2015 at UT Brownsville
[CUWiP 10th Anniversary]
Dear Dr. Matt Wood
We would like to call your attention to the upcoming American Physical Society Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) 2015. The event, to be held in January, provides a great opportunity for young women to become actively involved in physics early in their academic careers. Registration for this meeting is now open, and UT-Brownsville has been selected to host participants from Texas and the central United States. Although students who are accepted to attend CUWiP will be eligible for limited financial support for travel, the students’ physics departments are encouraged to provide travel support to the extent possible. In the event that selected applicants cannot find adequate financial support, we will provide assistance to find resources and work to ensure that lack of financial resources is not an impediment to their participation. Please post the attached flyer at your institution and seek out those whom you feel would benefit from the positive female-centric support and environment that the CUWiP is designed to foster.
The link for the CUWiP registration is

and the UT Brownsville program and agenda can be found at

Thank you for your support in spreading the word about the 2015 CUWiP at UT-Brownsville.
Sincerely,
Dr. Cristina Valeria Torres
On behalf of the 2015 APS CUWiP at UTB Local Organizing Committee
PS.
Please post a printout of the attached flyer to aide our advertising efforts.
