[phas-alumni] [phas-dept] SPS Meeting Thursday, December 2

Hello everyone,

My name is James Hirons and I am the new President of the TAMUC Chapter of
SPS! I am currently a Junior level Physics major. I am so excited for the
upcoming year and everything that we will do as a student organization!

The first thing that I'd like to do as President is announce a couple
upcoming events.
There will be an SPS meeting on Thursday, December 2nd at 5:00 PM right
after Colloquium. There will be plenty of refreshments so please bring
anyone who might be interested in joining! The best part about SPS is that
you don't even have to be a Physics Major to join. The only requirement is
a love of science and the want to get more people interested in science!

Second, our annual Physics Day is this Saturday, December 4th from 9:30 AM
to 2:30 PM. We will be needing lots of volunteers so if you are interested
in helping out please let me or Zorayda Martinez, our new Vice-President,
know by emailing us at jhirons1 at leomail.tamuc.edu or
zmartinez5 at leomail.tamuc.edu . More information will be given out at the
SPS meeting on Thursday.

I hope everyone is doing well after Thanksgiving Break and I hope to see
