Hi Cheryl,
 
One of our consultants at the Spring Creek Campus (Collin College) Writing Center, Joani Reese, opened a Writing Center for the students at Allen High School (Allen, TX) during the Spring Semester 2008. The center is open for the high school students who are enrolled in the Dual Credit classes taught at the high school by Collin College professors. Joani plans to open another writing center at Plano High School in September. She teaches dual credit classes on both campuses and has worked in the SCC Writing Center for three years.

Good morning!



If you had an opportunity to read the "Save-the-Date" email sent from
our President, Alice Newsome, just a few days ago, then you know that
the NTWCA will hold the fall conference on Thursday, September 18, at
Texas Christian University. The date is fast approaching, and I am
currently working on our newsletter. As you know, one of the more
popular aspects of the newsletter is the "News from the Region" section,
so please send to me as soon as possible any news regarding your writing
center as well as your professional achievements and those of your
colleagues. Photos are also welcome.
