[New International Students]

Good Afternoon Incoming Lions,

The Office of International Programs hopes you are having a wonderful summer. Below are updates for all incoming international students in preparation for the upcoming Fall semester.

Register for Fall 2022 New International Student Orientation (NISO)
International orientation is required for all incoming students to participate in in accordance to their onboarding and immigration status with TAMUC. Our office will have a packed day of information and socializing so you can learn more about our community and meet all the important offices associated with our university and in the broader Texas community!

New International Student Orientation (NISO)
When: August 25, 2022

Full Course of Studies for Fall & Spring Enrollment
As an incoming F-1 student, you must a maintain full course of studies starting your first academic semester and throughout your academic tenure at TAMUC. Please reference the attached document for more information and instruction on what encompasses full course of studies.
ATTN All College of Business Majors: Please review instructions on our attached documents as there are updates to what is considered as full course of studies within your degree program.

Bacterial Meningitis Vaccination Requirement
All incoming international students are required to take a bacterial meningitis vaccination if you are 22 or younger before August 28, 2022. For more information if this applies to you, please look here - https://www.tamuc.edu/meningitis-req/

International Student Health Insurance
Initial fall international students will be enrolled in Fall early arrival health insurance 2022. The coverage will start on August 1, 2022 thru August 31, 2022.  

Waiver Information
ALL WAIVERS must be submitted during this period for Fall semester waivers -June 29, 2022 to August 22, 2022.
As an international student, you may be eligible to waive out of the TAMUC International Student Insurance. ALL WAIVERS must be submitted during this period for Fall waivers - August 2, 2022, to September 7, 2022.

Attend our Pre-Arrival Webinars & Onboarding Events for all Incoming Fall 2022 Students
There are many questions you have as an incoming international student while many of you will be entering the United States for the first time. Our summer long and weekly webinar series will answer all the questions you have as an incoming student where we plan to address all the questions you have prior to stepping onto our campus. All Webinar events will be held in zoom from 9:00am to 10:00am Central Standard Time (CST).
