Congratulations again on your admission to Texas A&M University-Commerce!  As you prepare for your studies here this summer semester we would like to provide you important pre-arrival and arrival information for all new F-1 and J-1 international students.

*        Course Registration- Before a new F-1 or J-1 international student may register for courses they must first attend a check-in and welcome session with the Office of International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS).  All sessions are by appointment and you may go to Check-in and Welcome Session<http://www.tamuc.edu/campusLife/campusServices/internationalStudentServices/new-students/international-student-orientation-and-check-in/check-in.aspx> for more information and to schedule your session appointment.  Be sure to schedule your appointment for the check-in and welcome session as soon as possible.

*        Questions about your academic program or courses- If you have questions about your courses for your first semester you may go to www.tamuc.edu/guidebook<http://www.tamuc.edu/guidebook> and pages 13-14 will provide the contact information for academic departments.

*        Housing Information- students can find a list of local housing options on pages 10-11 in our guidebook at www.tamuc.edu/guidebook<http://www.tamuc.edu/guidebook>.
