The Office of International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) at Texas A&M University-Commerce would like to congratulate you on your admission for the spring 2016. Over the next few weeks we will be sending emails to our New International Student list serve to provide very important information as you prepare for your studies here.
We have created a New International Student Guidebook at www.tamuc.edu/guidebook<http://www.tamuc.edu/guidebook> that provides the answers to many of the questions you may have an provides very important website links. Please be sure to review the guidebook as it provides a lot of important information.
As a reminder, all new F-1 and J-1 international students are required to check-in with the ISSS and attend the mandatory International Student Orientation on Wednesday, January 13, 2016:
* All new F-1 and J-1 international students will have a registration hold from the ISSS that will not be lifted until the student has completed check-in in person
* Check-in's are by appointments only and you may go to www.tamuc.edu/intlorientation<http://www.tamuc.edu/intlorientation> for more information and to schedule your check-in appointment
* To register for the International Student Orientation please go to www.tamuc.edu/intlorientation<http://www.tamuc.edu/intlorientation>
If you have any questions please be sure to email New.Intl at tamuc.edu<mailto:New.Intl at tamuc.edu>. We have noticed that students will often email multiple offices regarding a request or question and we strongly discourage this because this practice is confusing and can lead to delays in processing requests:
* The ISSS is responsible for your I-20 or DS-2019, check-in, orientation, and matters related to your visa status and you may email New.Intl at tamuc.edu<mailto:New.Intl at tamuc.edu>
* For questions related to your admission you will need to contact the admission offices and you may go to www.tamuc.edu<http://www.tamuc.edu> and select Admissions for more information
* For questions specific to your academic major or department the guidebook at www.tamuc.edu/guidebook<http://www.tamuc.edu/guidebook> will provide important information and links
