[New International Students]

This is a reminder that all new international students are required to attend the International Student Orientation on Wednesday, August 26.  This includes any student who has not checked-in with the ISSS.

The orientation will be located in the Rayburn Student Center (building B33 on campus map) and students will NEED TO ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 8:15AM to sign in and receive their orientation packet. The orientation will be all day and should conclude by 4:30pm.  The orientation schedule is attached with this email.   We are expecting our largest group of new international students this fall semester so please be sure to arrive early to the student center.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided for FREE ONLY for students registered for the orientation.    Due to limited space we ask that family and friends not attend the orientation.   Childcare will not be provided at the orientation and any students with children will need to make prior arrangements for any childcare if necessary.
As a reminder, the ISSS has a registration hold on all new F-1 and J-1 international student accounts that will be lifted once a student has completed check-in with the ISSS.  There will be no check-ins conducted on August 26 due to the orientation and there are no exceptions to this.  For students who have not checked in prior to August 26 may check-in during our walk-in check-in times on August 27 and August 28 from 10am-12pm and 1pm-4pm only.  The ISSS will be closed from 12pm-1pm for lunch both days.

Students may park in parking lots number 4 or 5 for check-in with the ISSS and parking lots 23, 21, or 18 on the day of the International Student Orientation.
