The International Student Services Office (ISSO) at Texas A&M University-Commerce has begun issuing I-20's for our new spring 2015 students who have submitted their New International Student Questionnaire and copy of their passport. If you haven't submitted the questionnaire and a copy of your passport please do so immediately. If you have please DO NOT submit them again. For more information as you prepare for your studies at A&M-Commerce you may review the attached New International Student Guidebook.

Be sure to review your emails from our office to ensure we have all the required documents so we may issue your I-20. We understand the importance of issuing the I-20 as soon as possible and we appreciate your patience as we renew issuing I-20's for spring 2015 students. Once your I-20 is issued you will receive an email with your SEVIS number and our school code so you may schedule your visa appointment and pay the SEVIS I-901 fee. Copies of the I-20 are not provided because they are not necessary for students to schedule their visa appointment and pay the SEVIS I-901 fee.

Students will need to arrive in Commerce prior to Wednesday, January 14, 2015 which is the I-20 program start date (line 5) so they may check-in with an International Student Advisor in the ISSO and attend the mandatory International Student Orientation. Failure to arrive prior to this date will delay your ability to register for classes. For more information or to review the check-in and orientation schedule please go to http://www.tamuc.edu/CampusLife/CampusServices/internationalStudentServices/new-students/international-student-orientation-and-check-in1/default.aspx.

Students will also need to set-up mailing for their I-20 by choosing one of the options below. To set-up mailing for the I-20 go to www.tamuc.edu/isso<http://www.tamuc.edu/isso> and select Mailing Documents. Please note that friends or family may not pick up your I-20:

* U.S. Postal Service International Air Mail- I-20 will be sent at our expense but average delivery time is 2-8 weeks but this option is very unreliable. Tracking is not available. PLEASE NOTE that while this may be the least expensive option it is very unreliable and I-20's are often lost or delayed. If your I-20 is not delivered within 6-8 weeks then you may contact the ISSO and set-up shipping through one of the options below. The ISSO is not responsible for I-20's that are lost or delayed.

* U.S. Postal Service International Priority Mail- Payment is required by the student and average delivery time is 1-2 weeks but may take up to 4 weeks for some countries. The ISSO is not responsible for I-20's that are lost or delayed and refunds are not available.

* Express mail (UPS, FedEx, DHL)- this is the most reliable way to receive your I-20. Delivery is generally within 3-7 business days and tracking is available through the Eshipglobal website. Payment is required by the student or a family/friend and delivery time depends upon the shipping option. We strongly encourage students to set-up express mail for reliable and timely delivery of the I-20.
