[NewIntlStudents] When to arrive in Commerce, TX?

ALL NEW INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS NEED TO PLAN TO ARRIVE IN COMMERCE, TX BEFORE WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2015.  PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CHECK-IN AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ORIENTATION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCESS WILL CHANGE FOR SPRING 2015.

All new international students at Texas A&M University-Commerce are required to check-in with an International Student Advisor in person at the International Student Services Office (ISSO) in Halladay 104 and attend the International Student Orientation on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 beginning at 8:30am.  Students will not be allowed to register for courses until they have completed check-in in person.   All students must register for the International Student Orientation at http://www.tamuc.edu/CampusLife/CampusServices/internationalStudentServices/formsAndOnlineServices.aspx.  There is no fee for the orientation and here are no penalties for students who register for orientation but does not attend classes at A&M-Commerce.


*         The new check-in process for spring 2015 should be finalized by November 2014 and the schedule for check-in is posted at the link below.  Students may check-in beginning Monday, December 15, 2104.  The new process should allow students to schedule their check-in appointment online and download their documents online to the ISSO.  Students will still be required to check-in at the ISSO in person.  The check-in schedule and required documents and information is on the ISSO website at http://www.tamuc.edu/CampusLife/CampusServices/internationalStudentServices/new-students/international-student-orientation-and-check-in1/check-in.aspx.

*         The International Student Orientation will be on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 and attendance is mandatory for all new students.  Orientation sign-in will begin at 8:00am at the Rayburn Student Center Conference Rooms 213ABC and the orientation will begin at 8:30am.  The ISSO will post the orientation schedule with all sessions in November.
