We understand that students may not be able to arrive in time to attend the international student orientation and check-in at the International Student Services Office (ISSO) at A&M-Commerce. Any student who will arrive over the weekend or Monday will need to report to the ISSO to check-in with an international student advisor in person at the Halladay 104. Our check-ins for the week of August 25 will be from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm.
PLEASE NOTE the ISSO does not grant permission for students to arrive in the U.S. after the start date on line 5 of their I-20 (August 25, 2014) due to a number of concerns. Attached is our guidance for students who will arrive late and we recommend students review this so they can make an informed decision about their travel plans to A&M-Commerce.
If you are unable to attend classes at A&M-Commerce this fall semester then you will need to defer your admission. For graduates students, complete the Deferral Request form at http://www.tamuc.edu/academics/graduateSchool/documents/deferralRequestForm.pdf and submit this along with an updated bank and sponsor statement the graduate school. For undergraduate students, you may email Pamela.Wright at tamuc.edu<mailto:Pamela.Wright at tamuc.edu> to defer your admission. You will also need to include update bank and sponsor statements. DO NOT email your documents to the ISSO as we do not process deferral requests.
PLEASE NOTE that we will not begin issuing I-20's for spring 2015 until late September. Once your admission and deferred and we begin processing spring I-20's we will follow up with you. Thanks
