The ISSO has been receiving a number of phone calls with questions from
new international students who are admitted for the spring 2013
semester. This email is just a reminder that we have developed a number
of simple presentations on our website at
http://www.tamuc.edu/CampusLife/CampusServices/internationalStudentServi
ces/new-students/international-student-orientation-and-check-in1/online-
orientation-sessions-for-new-students.aspx that answer many questions.
The presentations discuss how to receive the I-20 and what to do after
you have received the I-20, the visa process, SEVIS I-901 fee, arriving
in the U.S., orientation and check-in course registration, and
vaccination and health insurance requirements. We are working on more
presentations and expect to post one soon about housing and funding your
education.
Please take some time to review these presentations before you contact
the ISSO as you will find very helpful information and website links to
help you prepare for your studies at A&M-Commerce.
