[NewIntlStudents] ISSO New Student Scholarship

[New International Students]

Before an international student can register for classes they must
first:

*        Attend international student orientation on August 23 beginning
at 8:30am in the Rayburn Student Center Room 213ABC

AND

*        Check-in with an international advisor in person at the
International Student Services Office (ISSO) in Halladay 104 from August
20th-22nd during the specified times (see the link below)

 

Students that arrive to Commerce late and miss the orientation will not
be allowed to register for their classes until they have checked-in with
the ISSO and provided the required documents for check-in.  Students
must arrive in Commerce by August 27 or it is strongly recommended they
defer to the spring.  For more information about orientation and for

The ISSO will award two (2) $1000 scholarships to 2 new international
students this fall semester for students who complete check-in with the
ISSO between August 20th-22nd and attend the international student
orientation on Thursday, August 23 beginning at 8:30am.  The two (2)
students who are awarded the scholarship will be eligible for the
in-state tuition waiver for the 2012-2013 academic year.  For a list of
the eligibility requirements for the scholarship see the attached
information sheet.  Applications will only be provided at check-in for
students who complete check-in.  Please do not email the ISSO to request
special consideration.  

 

Students who attended international student orientation and check-in
during the summer will receive a separate email providing additional
instructions for the application process.
