[NewIntlStudents] ISSO is open

[New International Students]

The International Student Services office is open today, Tuesday,
January 11, and will be conducting check-in in the ISSO in Halladay 104
for new students from 9am-11am and 2pm-4pm.  We will also be checking in
students on Wednesday, January 12 from 9am-12pm (noon) and Friday,
January 14 from 10am-12pm.  Wednesday's check-in will end at 12pm (noon)
regardless of any students waiting so the ISSO staff may prepare for
orientation.  Students will not be eligible to register for classes
until completing check-in and attending all sessions of international
student orientation.     

 

Please be sure to have the following information/documents for check-in:

*        Copies of passport, visa, I-94 (both sides) and I-20 (first and
last page).  Students with dependents will need to provide copies of
dependent's documents as well.  Transfer students must provide copies of
ALL previous I-20's.  

*        Current address in home country and in U.S. (including any
temporary address such as friend, family residence or hotel).  

*        Emergency contact information for friend of family in U.S. and
home country.  

Copies of your immigration documents may be made at the library (#16 on
map next to Halladay) or copy center (#8 on map) for a minimal fee.  

 

International student orientation is on Thursday, January 13 in the Sam
Rayburn Student Center Room 213ABC and will begin at 8:30am and should
end no later than 3pm.  Attendance is mandatory for all new
international students to A&M-Commerce.  We recommend students arrive at
8:15am to sign-in and receive the orientation packet.  DO NOT BE LATE.
Students that are late to orientation will be seriously delayed in
course registration.
