[NewIntlStudents] scholarship opportunity with check-in at A&M-Commerce

Check-in will begin tomorrow, Wednesday, January 13 at the ISSO in
Halladay 104 for new international students attending A&M-Commerce this
spring 2011 semester.  Check-in times will be as follows:

9am-11am and 2pm-4pm Wednesday, January 5 to Tuesday, January 11

9am-12pm Wednesday, January 12

10am-12pm Friday, January 14 

The following is required at check-in and copies may be made at Gee
Library.  For a map of campus please go to

ap.pdf.   

*        Copies of passport, visa, and I-94 (front and back).  Port of
entry stamp must show on the copy. F-1 students with F-2 dependents must
provide copies of their dependents documents.

*        Copy of I-20 (first and last page).  Transfer students must
provide copies of ALL previous I-20's.  You may contact your previous
school's international office for copies.  F-1 students with F-2
dependents must provide copies of their dependents documents.

*        Current physical address (including any temporary address) in
the U.S. and in your home country.

*        Emergency contact information (address, phone number, email) of
friend or family member in the U.S. and your home country.  

Students who complete check-in and submit their application in person to
the ISSO in Halladay 104 by 12pm (noon) on Wednesday, January 13 may be
eligible for the ISSO New Student Scholarship.  This spring the ISSO
will award two (2) scholarships to two (2) eligible new international
students at Texas A&M University-Commerce.  For more information about
the ISSO New Student Scholarship please see the attached form.       

DO NOT WAIT UNTIL WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 13 TO CHECK-IN.  We will end the
check-in at 12pm (noon) sharp on January 13 regardless of any students
waiting.  Please do not contact the ISSO to request special
consideration for the scholarship.
