[NewIntlStudents] check-in with an international student advisor

[New International Students]

Check-in with an international student advisor has begun today,
Wednesday, August 17.  All new international students are required to
check-in in person with an international advisor at the ISSO in Halladay
104 and attend international student orientation beginning at 8:30am in
the Sam Rayburn Student Center Room 213ABC on Thursday, August 25.

Check-in will be from Wednesday, August 17 to Tuesday, August 23 from
9am-11am and 2pm-4pm and Wednesday, August 24 from 9am-12pm only.
Please note:  The ISSO is not open Saturday and Sunday and there will be
no check-in on these days.  Students are required to attend check-in in
person and there are no exceptions to this requirement.

 

The following documents and information are required at check-in.
Students will need to make copies prior to visiting the ISSO.  Copies
may be made at the Copy Center or the James Gee Library.  Please go to
http://web.tamu-commerce.edu/aboutUs/contactUs/campusMapDirections/map/m
ap.pdf for a map of campus:  

*        Copies of passport, visa, I-94 (both sides).  Please be sure
port of entry stamp is visible.

*        Copy(s) of I-20 (first and last page).  Please be sure port of
entry stamp is visible.

*        Current physical address (this may include temporary address
and/or friend's address)

*        Permanent physical address in your home country

*        Emergency contact information for friend or family in U.S. and
in your home country.  This will include name, address, phone number,
and email

 

PLEASE NOTE:  Transfer students are required to provide copies of all
previous I-20's.  You may contact your previous school(s) international
office for a copy.  Students with F-2 dependent(s) will need to provide
copies of their dependent(s) passport, visa, I-94 (both sides), and I-20
(first and last page).
