[MusicEvents] TAMUC Music Department Outdoor Concert Invite - Sunday, April 18th

[Nancy Melton]

Dear friends of the Department of Music,

It has been over a year since any of the TAMUC bands have performed in front of a live audience. During that year, our department has undertaken numerous mitigation efforts in order for music making to remain a part of the lives of our students. Now as the 2020-2021 academic year draws to a close, we are excited to announce that we will be holding our first public performance for an audience on the south lawn of the of Music Building. As a celebration of the enduring power of music, we would like to invite you to a performance by members of the TAMUC Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Chamber Ensembles. We hope you will join us on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 6:30 PM. The seating area will open at 5:30 PM. Please bring your own folding chair or lawn chair, and we ask that audience members please observe social distancing and wear masks as they situate themselves on the lawn.

Although the weather looks to be perfect for this event, should the weather become an issue, or for more information as the concert approaches, please stay tuned to our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram: @tamucbands) for more information.

Please join us as we mark the end of the academic year, and the return of live performances for the TAMUC Bands. We hope you'll join us April 18.

Sincerely,
Brian Zator
