Good evening all,

The Texas A&M University-Commerce Music Department would like to welcome
you to the final band concert of the 2012-2013 season! The Symphonic
and Concert Bands will perform a free concert in the Finney Concert Hall
on Thursday, May 2nd, at 7:30 PM. The Concert Band under the direction
of Allan Goodwin and Graduate Teaching Assistant Stuart Shulman will be
performing the works of Eric Whitacre and Malcom Arnold in addition to
an orchestral transcription of the Polka from "The Bartered Bride" by
Bedrich Smetana and a new work from James Kazik, staff arranger for
"Pershing's Own", the United States Army Band.

The Symphonic Band welcomes Director of Bands and Instrumental
Activities Phillip Clements, guest conducting "Riff Raff", by Austin,
Texas resident Ryan George. The Symphonic Band's program also includes
Owen Reed's band classic "La Fiesta Mexicana", "Make our Garden Grow"
from Leonard Bernstein's "Candide" and "Esprit de Corps", a tribute to
Colonel John R. Bourgeois, Director Emeritus of the United States Marine

We hope you can join us as we close out the year in song.
