Volunteers are invaluable members of the hospice team, and are such a blessing in the lives of terminally ill patients and their caregivers! Hospice volunteers serve patients, as well as hospice staff in several ways. They may provide socialization, play games with the patient, respite for the caregiver, read to the patient, and simply sit with the patient to keep them company.
