12.0pt'>Happy New Year! We have strong MSW enrollment numbers this spring
and that has some positive considerations as well as presenting some
challenges. After much consideration and looking at schedules and resources for
the program, we have decided that field sections will only be offered on two
nights in each location this semester. This will mean that a few
students will come to campus for a field seminar on a night that you have no
other class. We hope this will not impede your commitment to partipation
in your field practicum as well as the required field seminar.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><font size=3 face="Times New Roman"><span style='font-size:
12.0pt'>Since the seminar classes may be a bit larger than normal, it may also
mean that your mid-term and final evaluation visits will be conducted by
someone other than your seminar instructor. You will know early in the
semester which faculty member will be doing the field visits at your agency so
that both you and your field supervisor will be aware of this. In social work,
we know that flexibility and adaptability (in light of limited resources) is an
essential quality for our field. Providing additional faculty support to
our assigned field liaisons will ensure that you have competent, responsive
liaisons for your field experience.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
