I am reaching out to share that Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home currently has open field placement and internship opportunities available for BSW and MSW students.

Our facility provides comprehensive long-term care and supportive services to military veterans. Interns placed with our Social Services department will have the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on clinical and macro experience, including:
- Conducting psychosocial assessments and participating in interdisciplinary care planning.
- Providing supportive counseling, advocacy, and crisis intervention.
- Assisting residents and families with care transitions, community resource navigation, and benefits of coordination.
- Understanding long-term care regulations, veterans' affairs systems, and trauma-informed care practices.

We are committed to providing robust supervision, mentorship, and learning experiences that align with CSWE competencies and your program's curriculum requirements.
