[MSW] Intern Recruitment VA North Texas

It is with great pleasure that I can announce, the North Texas VA is now accepting applications for Spring 2027 interns! Of note, the application includes multiple parts, so we encourage students to read the application fully and ensure they are attaching all required documentation when submitting. Reminder: here at the VA, we only accept Advanced Standing/Second Year Master's social work students due to the rigor of the work we do. Further, there are a limited number of stipends available which are awarded to select students each semester based on thorough and exemplary applications, so please encourage students to do their best on all parts of the application.

Please pass along the attached application and following information to interested/prospective students!

Students who are interested in applying to be a VA intern, need to fully complete the attached application (different documents are required to be added to the application) and email it to: NTXSWICONBOARDING at va.gov<mailto:NTXSWICONBOARDING at va.gov>. All intern applications are due by close of business, October 16th, 2026.

Once SWIC has received all applications, we will review them and select interns to interview. If selected, the student will be notified directly via the email listed on their application with their field liaison/professor Cc'd. From the interviews, SWIC will make the final determination of selected interns. Selected students will be notified via email with their field liaison/professor Cc'd.
