I’m reaching out to share two opportunities for social work students to get involved with the 50th Annual NASW-TX State Conference, taking place November 5–7 in Galveston. Attached is a flyer with more information that you’re welcome to share with your students.

Conference Volunteer Opportunity
Students can volunteer for just four hours during the conference and receive 75% off the registration rate. It’s a great way for students to get involved, connect with social workers from across Texas, and gain valuable experience they can carry into their careers. Volunteer registration is open now, but spots are limited! The deadline to register is October 7, 2026. Stacie McGee Student Scholar Awards
Students can also submit a paper or other written assignment from a social work course for the Stacie McGee Student Scholar Awards. Three students—one at the Associate/Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD levels—will each receive $300 and free registration to the 50th Annual NASW-TX Conference. The submission deadline is September 15, 2026.
