[MSW] In Memory of Devin Giles, Alumnus and Adjunct Professor

[Leanne Farquhar]

Dear Students,
It is with deep sadness that I share the news of the passing of Devin Giles, a valued member of our university community here at East Texas A&M. Devin was not only an alumnus-earning his Bachelor of Social Work in Fall 2019 and Master of Social Work in Fall 2020-but also served as an adjunct professor in Social Work, where he made a lasting impact on students and colleagues alike.
Devin's dedication to the field of social work and his commitment to uplifting others will be remembered with great respect and admiration. His contributions to our community were meaningful and deeply appreciated.
During this time, please know that the Office of Student Affairs is here to support you. If you or someone you know needs assistance or would like to talk, don't hesitate to reach out to our team.
With heartfelt condolences,

Marcella Smith, PhD
