To: The MSW Internship Program Director-

I am Genevieve Morenas, LCSW, the MSW Education Program Coordinator at the Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Health Care System (SAVAHCS). We are in Tucson, Arizona.

You are receiving this email as I believe you have an online MSW social work program. I am unsure if you have students in Tucson, AZ looking for internships. However, if you do, I would like you to consider referring them to explore options at the VA.

We are currently recruiting for internship positions for MSW interns who will be starting their Advanced Practicum year (i.e 2nd year of a MSW intern program) or Advance Standing practicum starting in August 2023. This is a two consecutive term internship (generally 16 weeks each term). Most of these internships also offer a paid stipend. All our internships are in-person (no virtual internships).

Please let me know if you are interested in learning more about the SAVAHCS MSW Intern program we offer and discussing an Academic Affiliation with the SAVAHCS MSW internship program if applicable.

I would gladly be willing to provide virtual information sessions to staff and interested interns. I have enclosed a brochure that highlights our program for your reference.

I look forward to hearing from you.
