Procedures for Permit Request Form

Please do not retype the form in another format.  Registration requests will only be accepted in this format.

Please open the form for Summer 2020, then
"Save As" an .xls document name it: Summer Permits: (your name)

Then proceed as follows:

1.            Open the Summer 2020 form and tab to the box following Name: and type your name.

2.            Tab to the box following CWID: and type your 8 digit campus wide ID number.

3.            Tab to the box following Email: and type your email address.

4.            Consult your degree plan and determine which classes you are scheduled to take.  The Summer 2020 abbreviation is SUM20.

5.            Tab to the long box following Course #1.  When you tab to this box, you will notice a drop down list arrow at the end of this box.  Click on this icon and the course offerings which require registration permits for Summer 2020 will drop down.  Please note that these are the same courses shown at the bottom of the form.

Once you have determined the class you need to take, simply click on that line from the drop down list and the course will be entered in that box.  Then tab to the next long box following Course #2, if necessary, and follow the same procedure for your next course, and so on, for the number of classes you plan to take during this semester.

Please note that you will not be able to type the information in these long boxes.  The information must be selected from the drop down list and scroll to appropriate course.

6.            Once you have selected your courses and are ready to submit the information, please save the form and send it as an email attachment to: janis.cirkles at tamuc.edu<mailto:janis.cirkles at tamuc.edu>.

7.            Please do not email me to check status as this will only delay the process further. I enter program permits for all social work students, for each class every semester.  Permits are worked in the order in which they are received and I’ll email you once the permits are entered to let you know to complete registration.

Please double check your form and degree plan before submitting it to me and be sure that you have selected the correct courses, i.e., correct date, time, and location, to avoid unnecessary delays. If the course you want is full, I’ll add your name to the waiting list and will notify you once new section is opened up.  Please be assured that you will be able to register for all of the classes that you need before the start of the semester.

Once a permit is issued, NO schedule changes will be accepted until Monday, May 18, 2020.  Changes submitted prior to this date will not be processed.

Registration for Fall 2020 will be sent in a separate email at a later time.

Also, if you are checking class schedule thru myLEO unfortunately it doesn’t always display courses correctly. To ensure you are looking classes posted for School of Social Work please check the schedule of classes online at: http://appsprod.tamuc.edu/Schedule/Schedule.aspx and select appropriate term.
