Good Morning,
I am pleased to invite you, fellow members of your staff, and groups to our "Getting Back To Basics" training event on May 28, 2019 in Tyler, Texas!   It is open to the public.  If you have already registered, THANK YOU, and we look forward to having you!
If you are interested in having a vendor table or receiving 6 CEU hours, I have attached a registration form.  Please note that these are not Nursing CEU's.  Please follow instructions at the bottom of the form to return payment/registration back to our business office.   Even if you aren't interested in being a vender or receiving 6 CEU hours, our event is free to the public and you are more than welcome to attend!  We look forward to having you join us.
This training takes a comprehensive look at substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery.  The training includes a discussion on the diagnostic criteria for substance use disorder, the effects of substance use on the brain, risk/protective factors, evidence-based treatment/prevention interventions, the substance use continuum of care, strategies to reduce harm, and recovery.  The training will provide information and access to resources on the treatment for trauma, substance abuse disorder, and mental health issues; including how to offer support to those who are suffering
The training is recommended for direct care workers, social workers, counselors, and therapist and is appropriate for beginning, intermediate and advanced level of practice.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
