Thank You for taking time out of your busy day to read this brief email. NAMI Dallas (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is non-profit organization which provides free mental health education and peer support to individuals and families affected by mental illness. NAMI is the largest mental health grassroots organization in North America with satellite offices in each state. We are hosting our 1st annual conference on families, cultures and mental illness on Friday, October 10, 2014 during mental illness awareness week. On behalf of Marsha Rodgers, the executive director of NAMI Dallas and Dr. Vincent Ramos, chair of the Education Committee, we would like to extend two invitations:

*         For any department staff who would like to submit a proposal to present on families, cultures and mental illness: Proposal Deadline: 6/30/2014
*         For any department staff or students who would like to attend the conference.

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Octavio Martinez Jr. of the Hogg Foundation. The conference begins 8:00AM and ends at 4:00PM and will take place at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital- Dallas (THRU Building). CEU certificates will be offered for up to 6 hours for psychologists, counselors and social workers.
